Also known as “Dutch Wax”, these fabrics have a history that brings together Indonesia’s batik tradition, Dutch traders and African cultures. Each season, we select new fabrics and work with local workshops in Istanbul to turn them into furniture, cushions and lighting designs.
DISCOVERDrawing on the universal language of motifs and symbols, 3RD CULTURE patterns bring together visual elements from different cultures. Finding beauty in cultural diversity, the designs propose a new aesthetic shaped by the interweaving of cultures.
PATTERNSCombining traditional Indian motifs with the colours and patterns of Pakistan’s Truck Art tradition, the enamelware is made exclusively for 3RD CULTURE by artisans in India. Each piece is individually hand-painted on stainless steel, bearing the makers’ brushstrokes and the subtle variations of handcraft.

Who is 3RD CULTURE
3RD CULTURE is an Istanbul based design company with the mission to create products that celebrate the strength born from cultural diversity. Founded in 2015 by designer Zeynep Rende and photographer Emre Rende, the 3RD CULTURE brand encompasses a unique collection of photography, home textiles and accessories created under the brand’s creative guideline ‘Inspired by the world, created in Istanbul’. When will my order be shipped?
The shipping time may vary depending on the products in your order. We offer same-day shipping for most of our products, including enamelware, peshtemals, throw blankets, scarves, and some ready-made pillows. Products marked as "same-day shipping" in the product description are packaged immediately upon receiving your order and shipped the same day.
For custom-made products, we recommend checking the product description or contacting us for more information. Some products, such as furniture, photography prints, and pillows are made to order, so their processing times differ.
